Creative. Curious. Restorative.
I’m a Bristol based poet who writes to understand myself and across differences.
I write for the voice so you get to experience my poetry best when it’s live or on audio.
My practice is deeply restorative, using discomfort and the possibility of deeper connection to find what we have in common and create pathways to understanding.
Differences are generative, but they need to be directed in a positive way. I use poetry and well crafted conversation gatherings to reframe the boundaries of a chosen topic so everyone feels heard. I’m a keen learner of culture and theology, I get excited when I see threads within and across both.
I’m currently poet in residence for two organisations: Bridges for Communities and Ginkgo Projects where I am doing their Bedminster Green residency Common Threads.
